Evgeny Konnov was born in 1992 in Chirchiq (Uzbekistan). He began to study piano at the age of four with Natalia Krivosheina. From 1999 to 2007 he studied at the famous „Gnessin Music School” in Moscow, under  T. N. Sarkisian's supervision. From 2008 to 2012, he studied at the „Academy of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory” in Moscow, under N. G. Syslova's supervision. From 2012 to 2013 he studied at the „Robert Schumann Hochschule” in Düsseldorf, under Prof. G.F. Schenk's supervision. From 2013 to 2021 he studied with Evgenia Rubinova at the „Leopold-Mozart-Center of the University of Augsburg” and from 2017 to 2021 with Prof. Albert Mamriev at the „Piano Academy Neue Sterne in Hannover”. In 2019 he began studying with Prof. Jan Gottlieb Jiracek von Arnim at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.

He is the winner of many competitions, including 2017 first prize at the 18th Compositores de España International Piano Competition in Madrid (Spain), 2018 first prize, and public prize at the 64th Maria Canals Barcelona International Music Competition in Barcelona (Spain), 2019 first prize and public prize at the 31st International Piano Competition Ettore Pozzoli in Seregno (Italy), 2020 first prize at the 14th Unisa International Piano Competition in Pretoria (South Africa).
