Shiori Kuwahara was born in Tokyo/Japan in 1995. In her teens, she became laureate of all three prestigious domestic competitions. She appeared on TV and radio program by NHK. After that, she has been active internationally. Kuwahara won 2nd prize at the 62nd “Maria Canals Barcelona” with youngest finalist prize (Spain, 2016) and won the 2nd prize and special prize at the 68th “Gian Battista Viotti” (Italy, 2017). She is invited to many recitals in Japan and also in foreign countries. She also often appears as a soloist of the orchestras with the prominent conductors. She graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts with the highest award (studied under Prof. Kei Itoh). She released Prokofiev’s work from Warner Music Japan and GEIDAI. Currently she studies under Prof. Klaus Hellwig at Soloist Master of Berlin University of the Arts. She is a scholarship student of The Ezoe Memorial Foundation.
