The 2024 Jeunesses Musicales International Music Competition was held in the discipline of Clarinet

Founded in 1971, the annual International Jeunesses Musicales Competition in Belgrade is a project of great significance within the international Jeunesses Musicales Foundation, with over 2000 soloists and 200 chamber ensembles having participated in the competition.

This year´s competition, held in the discipline of Clarinet, was chaired by renown German clarinetist Martin Spangenberg, with prizes totalling 20.000 Euros. Among the visiting artists of the competition was the Belgrade Philharmonic String Quartet and the RTS Symphony Orchestra, one of the most prominent ensembles in Serbia. 46 young clarinetists took part in the competition, which was won by 21-year-old Hongyi Jiang.
