Tassilo Probst was born in Munich in July 2002 into a music-loving family. At the age of 4 ½ years he received his first violin lessons.  Since the beginning of 2015, he has been a private student of the Austrian Prof. David Frühwirth . At the age of 12, he passed the pre-college entrance exam at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich, initially taught by Prof. Sonja Korkeala and from the summer semester 2017 by Prof. Ingolf Turban. In the winter semester of 2019, he began his full studies with Prof. Ingolf Turban and in the profile subject with Prof. Markus Wolf. Tassilo has won numerous prizes at the renowned national and international competitions, including four first prizes in the German National Competition „Jugend musiziert“, is a recepient of special prizes of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and various scholarships. In 2015 he received the second prize at the „Carl Bechstein Competition“ in Berlin. In 2017 he won the first prize at the International Anton Rubinstein Competition in Düsseldorf and in 2018 second prize at the 14th International Competition of Young Violinists in Honour of Karol Lipinski and Henryk Wieniawski in Lublin/Poland. In October 2019 he was presented with the „Douja dÓr“ of the Rotary Club Interlaken at an international meeting of the Rotary Clubs in Interlaken (Switzerland). At the International Louis Spohr Competition for Young Violinists in Weimar, in November 2019 he won a 2nd prize as the youngest finalist of his age group. Also in November 2019, he was awarded the Audience Prize in Munich at the August Everding Music Competition of the Munich Konzertverein e.V., which is widely advertised in Europe, and was the youngest participant to win 2nd prize. In December 2019 he was selected by the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board of the Bruno Frey Foundation as the laureate of the Bruno Frey Music Prize 2019. In 2020/2021 he recieved a 3rd prize at the international George Enescu Competition in Bucharest/ Romania as the youngest participant. At the Kronberg Academy’s invitation to the International Violin Master Course 2021, he was awarded the „Manfred Grommek Special Prize for Special Achievement“. In September 2021 he was again the youngest finalist at the TIBOR VARGA International Violin Competition in Switzerland and won 2nd prize.
