Sophia Burgos

Sophia Burgos holds a Bachelor degree from the Eastman School of Music, where she collaborated with Brad Lubman and the Muscia Nova Ensemble performing works such as Akrostichon Wortspiel by Unsuk Chin and Steve Reich’s Tehillim. As winner of the Eastman concerto competition she sang Knoxville Summer of 1915 by Samuel Barber in the Eastman Theatre with the Graduate Chamber Orchestra. Other awards include 3rd prizes in the Friends of Eastman Opera competition and the Jesse Kneisel Lieder Competition, the German Lied Prize at the 2017 Nadia and Lili Boulanger International Voice-Piano Competition in Paris and 2nd Prize and Special Prize at the 2018 ‘Schubert und die Musik der Moderne’ competition in Graz. She completed her Masters Degree at the Bard College Conservatory’s Graduate Vocal Arts Program where she portrayed the title role of Handel’s Esther, and Gabriel in Haydn’s The Creation with the Bard Conservatory Orchestra and members of the American Symphony Orchestra. Ms Burgos has performed art song and contemporary music recitals throughout New York City and the Hudson Valley. She is proud to receive close mentorship from Dawn Upshaw.

Daniel Gerzenberg

Daniel Gerzenberg is a German-Russian-Jewish artist based in Berlin.

In 2009, He began his international career, forming a successful piano duo with his Brother Anton Gerzenberg, consequently appearing at major festivals and venus such as Progetto Martha Argerich, Scheleswig-Holstein Music Festival Ruhr, National Concert Hall Taipei, Auditiorio Bolzano, Philharmonie at the Gasteig Munich, Philharmonie Essen and Laeiszhalle Hamburg. Daniel has appeared as a soloist with internationally renowned orchestras and has toured as a concert pianist with Martha Argerich, Lilya Zilberstein and Anton Gerzenberg, subsequently producing recordings for Emi and NDR. Alongside his professional career as a musician, Daniel is a professional poet, award-winning translator, actor and recitator; He speaks 6 languages, has published two books, and is currently professor of poetry at the HOCHSCHULE FÜR MUSIK HANNS EISLER. In 2016, he began his studies of song accompaniment under the tutelage of professor wolfram rieger at HOCHSCHULE FÜR MUSIK HANNS EISLER BERLIN. He has quickly established a reputation as an accomplished lied pianist, having won the Prix de lied at the 9th Nadia and Lili boulanger International Voice-Piano competition with soprano  Sophia Burgos, as well as winning second prize and special prize for the best interpretation of the commissioned piece "Lied" by Isabel Mundry at the International Song Competition Franz Schubert and Modern music, and most recently to this, he has worked as an accompanist for the past two years in the classes of Prof. JULIA VÁRADY, Prof. THOMAS QUASTHOFF, and Prof. TABEA ZIMMERMANN.
