Maya Alexandra Kasprzak

She has studied at the Berlin University of the Arts and the University of Music and Theatre Leipzig with Latica Honda-Rosenberg and Tobias Feldmann. She has won First Prize at numerous competitions, including the Polish National Violin Competition, the Mendelssohn Competition for Young Musicians in Kronberg, the Wanda Wilkormirska Violin Competition for Polish Music, the Dussmann Competition, and the Japanese National Competition, and she has also received top prizes at the International Arthur Grumiaux Competition, the International Tibor Junior Violin Competition, and the Carl Flesch International Violin Competition and the Bartók World Competition. She currently plays on a Joseph Gagliano violin made in 1790, which is on loan from the Deutscher Musikinstrumentenfonds of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben in Hamburg, Germany.
