Anna Sysová was born in 1996 in Prague. At ZUŠ Jižní Město she attended recorder lessons from the age of 8 and clarinet at Kamil Doležal from the age of 12. In 2013, at the Pro Bohemia competition in Ostrava, she won the 2nd prize and the Bohuslav Martinů Foundation prize. In 2014, she won four competitions - she won 1st prize at the Czech Clarinet Art clarinet competition, 3rd prize at the Carlin competition in Italy, 1st prize at the Markneukirchener Wettbewerb competition and 1st prize at the International Woodwind Competition in Wroclaw. . In May 2015, she received the award for the most successful youngest participant in the Prague Spring international competition. She took part in master classes with Ludmila Peterková, Karel Dohnal, Milan Řeřichy, Franck Amet, Jorge Montill, Arkadiusz Adamski, Gabor Varga, Paolo Beltramini and Charles Neidich.
