The International Organ Competition is held in memory of the distinguished Swiss organist Georges Cramer (1909-1981): through his outstanding teaching he handed down all the richness of both French and German traditions.

This anniversary edition will be dedicated to chanoine Georges Athanasiadès, former organist of the basilica of Saint-Maurice and former director and founder of this competition and will take place in Lausanne and Saint-Maurice, Switzerland. The Competition was founded by the Canon Georges Athanasiades at Saint-Maurice's Abbey.
