Pinerolo/Torino - International Chamber Music Competition "Pinerolo e Torino - Città metropolitana"

Great suspense at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatoire in Torino, with the concert hall packed out and the audience ready to applaud the winners of the final of the International Chamber Music Competition “Pinerolo e Torino Città Metropolitana”, the prestigious bi-annual chamber music competition (a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions in Geneva).  The jury of eminent musicians had admitted 6 ensembles to the final, instead of the expected 5, due the exceptionally high level of the competitors. The ensembles performing were competing for prizes totalling 23,000 euros.

The next ICM Competition Pinerolo e Torino Città metropolitana, a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions in Geneva,
will be held in Pinerolo and Turin  from 6 to 12 March 2023 (Applications by 31/01/2022 – Preselection by video).

The jury consist of internationally renowned musicians: Lukas Hagen (Austria), violin; Klauss Kaufmann (Germany), piano; Liisa Randalu (Estonia), viola; Joel Hoffmann (USA), composer; Marco Zuccarini (Italia), conductor; Miklós Perényi (Hungary), cello; Gabriele Mirabassi (Italy), clarinet

The jury of eminent musicians has admitted the top 27 ensembles to the live competition rounds that will take place in March 2023. The competitors admitted have been selected from the over 125 musicians who entered the competition, performing in 50 chamber music ensembles (under 33) from 18 countries all over the world

In the last edition the jury admitted 6 ensembles to the final, instead of the expected 5, due the exceptionally high level of the competitors. The ensembles were competing for prizes totalling 23,000 euros.
