Düsseldorf - Aeolus International Competition for Wind Instruments

The International Aeolus Competition for Wind Instruments has firmly established itself as a worldwide recognized stage for wind instrument players flute, oboe, bassoon, saxophon, trumpet, horn, trombone and tuba.

The Organizer of the "Aeolus" Competition is the Sieghardt Rometsch Foundation. The Robert Schumann Academy is the home of the Competition, which is also supported by the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra and the highly regarded German Radio Station Deutschlandfunk.

The participation at the Aeolus Competition has proven as a solid and firm foundation for a worldwide career as amusician. It is a first address for brass and wind players. Rotating between a total of 9 disciplines, the next editions of the Aeolus Competition will present Trombone, Trumpet and Tuba (Sep 8-13 2026) and Basson, Oboe and Clarinet (Sep 2027).
