Zhiquan Wang began studying piano at the age of four and made his public debut shortly thereafter. He is currently studying at the Middle School affiliated with the Shanghai Conservatory of Music under the guidance of Professor Zhe Tang.
Zhiquan has received top honors in numerous competitions, notably winning the Grand Prize at the 19th Moscow Central Music School International Piano Competition, the First Absolute Prize at the Orbetello Piano Competition, and the Grand Prize at the “Slobozhanska Fantasy” International Competition for Young Pianists. He has also secured first place at the Rachmaninoff International Competition for Young Pianists, the Melbourne International Youth Piano Competition, and the Princess Galyani Vadhana International Ensemble Competition.
In 2024, at the age of 14, he became the youngest winner of the 2024 Dubai International Classical Piano Competition.
Zhiquan has performed at venues such as the Mariinsky Theatre and the Shanghai Grand Theatre, collaborating with orchestras including the New Russia State Symphony Orchestra and the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, among others. He has appeared in major music festivals, including the Mariinsky International Piano Festival, the Frankfurt International Music Festival, and the Shanghai Spring International Music Festival, receiving critical acclaim.
