Trio Goldmund

The Trio Goldmund was founded in Cologne in 2019. Inspired by the character of the same name from Hermann Hesse's novel Narziss and Goldmund, the ensemble has embraced Goldmund's curiosity and openness in its artistic journey.

The trio received its chamber music training at the Cologne University of Music and Dance under the guidance of Prof. Hans-Christian Schweiker, Prof. Fabio Bidini, and Robert Kulek. There, it won first prize at the 8th University Chamber Music Competition. The ensemble is currently studying at the Chamber Music Center of the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin under the direction of Prof. Jonathan Aner.In 2025, the trio reached the finals of the international competition “Franz Schubert and Modern Music” and won 3rd prize at the International Chamber Music Competition “Pinerolo e Torino – Città Metropolitana.”

In addition to their passion for chamber music, the trio's members are also active in renowned orchestras, including the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra.The trio has received significant artistic inspiration through masterclasses with Eberhard Feltz, Dirk Mommertz, Martin Funda, Heime Müller, Antoine Tamestit, and the Boulanger Trio.
