Swann Van Rechem has worked with orchestras such as Orchestre National de Metz, MDR-Sinfonieorchester, Jenaer Philharmonie, Thüringen Philharmonie Gotha-Eisenach, Nord Nederland Orkest, Hradec Králové Philharmonic. Passionate about opera, he participated in productions at the Opéra de Nantes, Opéra de Rouen Normandie, and soon at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen. The modern repertoire having also a big place in his heart, he took part in the Lucerne Festival's Conducting Fellowship, where he received guidance from Wolfgang Rihm, Dieter Ammann and Enno Poppe, and conducted numerous world premieres. As assistant conductor, he regularly collaborates with Antony Hermus, or Ariane Matiakh (with the support of the foundation Momentum our future, now, created by Barbara Hannigan). Swann studied percussion at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, and conducting at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He is currently studying for a master's degree with Nicolás Pasquet and Ekhart Wycik at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar.
