Sohta Miura, born in 2000 in Japan, is described by the press as “highly talented and showing remarkable dexterity”. He began piano training at age five and studied at Toho Gakuen School of Music. Placing highly in the prestigious 89th Japan Music Competition and winning the 1st Prize at the “Giovani Musicisti Città di Treviso” (2024), 3rd prize at Rina Sala Gallo International Piano Competition in 2024, he has also won various national and international competitions. Sohta has performed as a soloist with renowned orchestras like the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and Toho Gakuen Orchestra, with his performances broadcast on NHK. He has played in Tokyo, Osaka, and Hamamatsu, and is also recognized in Germany. Currently, he is pursuing a Masterʼs degree at the Hannover University of Music under Prof. Roland Krüger.
