Born in China, Shilong Fan is one of the most promising young guitarists on the international scene. He began his musical training at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, where he studied with the renowned teachers Chen Zhi and Xu Tuo, and later continued his academic career in Germany, completing a Master’s degree at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Munich under the guidance of Professor Franz Halász, with whom he is currently pursuing advanced Meisterklasse studies.

His career has been distinguished by numerous awards at major international competitions. Among his most recent achievements are First Prize at the 39th Andrés Segovia International Classical Guitar Competition (La Herradura, Spain), where he also received the Audience Award and the prize for Best Interpretation of a Spanish Work. In 2024, he was awarded Second Prize at the Francisco Tárrega International Guitar Competition in Benicàssim, and in the same year he won the International Guitar Competition of Madrid “Leona Cases,” he was awarded Third Prize at the Michele Pittaluga International Guitar and Composition Competitions "Premio Citta di Alessandria" in 2025.

With a rapidly developing career, Shilong Fan has performed recitals on various stages across Europe and Asia, establishing himself as an interpreter of great sensitivity and virtuosity. His repertoire spans from the great masters of the classical guitar to contemporary works, always guided by a personal pursuit of authenticity and artistic expressiveness.
