Sandro Nebieridze was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, in 2001. He began studying piano with Lali Sanikidze at the age of five and composition with Maka Virsaladze at the age of nine. From September 2018 to 2021, he was a student at the State Conservatory in Tbilisi, where he studied composition as well as piano. Since October 2021, he has continued his piano studies with Antti Siirala at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich.
Sandro Nebieridze has already performed with numerous orchestras, such as the Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and the Brandenburg Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of conductors such as Petr Popelka, Olivier Tardy, Ariel Zuckerman and Gianandrea Noseda.
Sandro Nebieridze’s accolades include laureate titles from prestigious piano competitions in Europe and Asia. As a composer his music has garnered acclaim both in Georgia and abroad and has been successfully premiered on stages such as the Berlin Konzerthaus, Tsinandali Amphitheatre and etc. Sandro's debut album, featuring solo works by Rachmaninov and Prokofiev, was globally released by Harmonia Mundi in September 2019. The album not only earned him the "Tsinandali Prize" but also a nomination at Opus Klassik 2020. As a scholar of the "Lisa Batiashvili Foundation" since 2021, Sandro has embarked on numerous tours. From solo recitals in Czech Republic, Norway, and Germany to stepping in as a last-minute replacement for Lang-Lang, Sandro works with famous orchestras and festivals.
