Nabeel Hayek holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, where he studied with Arie Vardi and Asaf Zohar, and a Master’s degree from the Juilliard School with Julian Martin. Nabeel has also been mentored by Murray Perahia since 2017. Looking ahead, he will pursue his studies toward a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Juilliard.

A laureate of several competitions, he won prizes at all major national competitions in Israel. He has performed with orchestras such as the Jerusalem Symphony, Israel Chamber Orchestra, and Galilee Chamber Orchestra, under conductors like Uri Segal and Saleem Ashkar. Nabeel has appeared in recitals across Europe, Asia, and North America, and has performed for the Arthur Rubinstein International Music Society and the Israel Philharmonic.

Nabeel is an active chamber musician and experienced collaborative pianist, and continues to expand his solo repertoire with a strong passion for 20th-century and contemporary music.

Furthermore, as a Christian Arab citizen in Israel, Nabeel feels a strong sense of responsibility towards his community. He aspires to introduce his community to the rich world of classical music, embracing his role as a cultural ambassador and striving to bridge the gap between unfamiliarity and appreciation. Nabeel's vision as a pianist is deeply rooted in his love for diverse musical genres and his constant pursuit of artistic growth. He finds particular inspiration in 20th-century and contemporary music, relishing the challenges they present and consistently seeking to explore new genres and ideas.

Beyond his musical endeavours, Nabeel's intellectual curiosity extends to philosophy, theology, classic literature, and the visual arts. These varied interests enrich his artistic expression and contribute to his well-rounded approach as a pianist.
