Laura Schlappa, born in Cuxhaven in 2000, is a young organist who has already won several awards for her playing. In 2022, she won 1st prize at the 21st International Organ Competition "Petr Eben" in Opava, Czech Republic, and 3rd prize at the International Organ Competition in Korschenbroich. In 2021, she was awarded 1st prize and the audience prize at the 8th Concours International d'Orgue Dudelange in Luxembourg. She was awarded 1st prize in the senior category at the "Northern Ireland International Organ Competition" in 2020. She also received a 1st prize at "The London Organ Competition" in 2019. In 2018, she won 1st prizes at the "Northern Ireland International Organ Competition" in the Intermediate category and at "Jugend musiziert" at national level. 
Laura Schlappa was awarded the Hans and Eugenia Jütting Foundation Prize and is a scholarship holder of the Cusanuswerk episcopal scholarship program. 

In 2018, Laura Schlappa began her studies in the class of Prof. Dr. Martin Sander at the Detmold University of Music and is currently continuing her studies with him at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich.
