Junhyung Kim was born in Seoul in 1997. He is currently studying piano under the guidance of Maestro Antti Siirala at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich. In 2017 he won the Mozart-Gesellschaft Special Prize at the ARD Intl. Music Competition. He got the 6th prize at the Sendai Intl. Music Competition in 2019 and the 1st prize at the Seoul Intl. Music competition 2020/21.
He has performed recitals all over the world, debuting in concert halls in Boston, Paris, Berlin, Munich, Ingolstadt and Seoul and performing with prestigious orchestras, such as the Berlin Konzerthausorchester and the Münchener Kammerorchester.
