Jieru Ma

Jieru Ma is a master student at Hochschule für Musik Freiburg. Since 2010, she has learned under the instruction of Professor Yang Ruwen, PhD director of Shanghai Conservatory of Music. In 2014, she was admitted to the Percussion major of secondary Conservatory of Music affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music. After graduation, she was recommended for admission to Shanghai Conservatory of Music. In 2021, she was recommended for carrying on master's degree. In 2019, she was selected into the first "Peak Climbing Talent Program" and the fourth outstanding Student "Music Talent Support" program of Shanghai Conservatory of Music. During her school years, she participated in the China-asean Music Week, Shanghai Conservatory of Music opera “He Luting”, the seventh Beijing Youth Art Festival, Shanghai Conservatory of Music Percussion Orchestra Wave and other performances, which were highly praised. She has won dozens of international competition awards, including The Second Prize of Professional Adult Group (Marimba) in the“2019 Shanghai Conserxatery of Music International Percussion Festival& Fourh IPEA liternational Percussion Competition”. The First Prize of Percussion Solo in Percussion Cat D in the 13th Concorso Internazionale Musicale “Luigi Cerritelli”in 2021. The First Absolute Prize of Percussion Solo in Percussion instrumentd Cat D in the “Iscart International Music Competition”in 2021. The 3rd Prize of percussion solo in “The 17th Jeju International Brass·Percussion Competition”in 2022.
