Born in 2009, cellist Jeri Lee has been praised by The Strad for her “spotless” playing, by world-renowned violinist Augustin Dumay for “naturally unfolding a rich imagination without being constrained by technical limitations” and by cellist Jian Wang as possessing “an innate gift for naturally shaping the big picture of music.

In 2025, she won First Prize at the Schoenfeld International String Competition in Harbin, China, becoming the youngest winner in the competition’s history. In the same year, she received Second Prize and the Seong-Yawng Park Special Prize at the Isang Yun International Music Competition, achieving a double honor and becoming the youngest prizewinner in the history of the cello division.

She entered Seoul Arts High School in 2025 on a full scholarship and studies with Kangho Lee, Jung-Joo Choi, Jung-Ran Lee, and James Kim. She is scheduled to enter the Korea National University of Arts (K-ARTS) in 2026 through early admission for gifted artists, while maintaining an active international performing career.
