Irene González Roldán began playing the harpsichord at the age of seven. After studying harpsichord in Seville and Salamanca, she moved to the Netherlands to study in The Hague and Amsterdam with professors Jacques Ogg, Patrick Ayrton, Menno van Delft and Kris Verhelst. Currently, Irene is studying her last Master course at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Switzerland), in the class of Andrea Marcon and Jörg-Andreas Bötticher.
Irene has recently been awarded the first prize and the public prize at the 3rd International Harpsichord Competition of Milan (2021). She has also received the first prize together with her group Flor Galante at the 4th International Bach Competition in Berlin.
Irene has twice (2018 and 2020) won the scholarship of the Association of Friends of the Seville Baroque Orchestra to support her early music studies abroad.
