Born on September 21, 2000, in Boulogne-Billancourt, Grégoire Torossian began playing the violin at the age of 4. He did his apprenticeship with Maja Lazko in Paris, then at the Conservatoire de Tours with Pierre Ivanovitch, where he obtained his Diploma of Musical Studies unanimously. In 2018, he joined the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris in the class of Ami Flammer, where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree two years later. He then moved to Brussels for a year to improve with Karen Aroutiounian. Grégoire is now studying again at the Conservatoire de Paris for a Master’s degree in the class of Svetlin Roussev and Pierre Colombet.
He won 1st prize at the 2018 Leonid Kogan Competition in Brussels. As a concert performer, Grégoire plays as a soloist or in recital in France and occasionally as a chamber musician, notably with the Möbius Quartet at the French Spring Festival in Ukraine in July 2021 or with the Ozawa Academy in Switzerland (July 2022).
