r gained international attention as a prize winner of the Mahler Competition 2023. Previously, he served as Assistant Conductor of the Orchestre National d’Île-de-France (ONDIF), a position he held for the 21/22 and 22/23 seasons. As a result of his exceptional talent and dedication, he was quickly entrusted with concerts beyond the original scope of the position, conducting the orchestra on multiple occasions featuring major repertoire, including symphonies by Mahler and Tchaikovsky, Bernstein’s "Symphonic Dances" from "West Side Story" and Debussy’s "La mer“. As a guest conductor, recent and upcoming highlights include debuts with the Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn, Münchner Symphoniker, Philharmonisches Orchester Gießen, and Philharmonie Südwestfalen, as well as the Orchestre National Avignon-Provence and Orchestre de Picardie. In the past season, Georg returned to Collegium Musicum Basel and Sinfonieorchester Basel, where he is a regular guest conductor, taking over ballet performances at the Theater since 2018.
