Constantin Siepermann started his first cello lessons at the age of 5 with Frédérique Labbow. Two years later he joined the class of Cătălin Ilea at the University of the Arts Berlin, that he left in 2019 to continue his studies at the Music Academy Freiburg, where he is currently pursuing his bachelor studies with Jean-Guihen Queyras. An alumnus of the Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Music College, he has been awarded numerous scholarships by the International Academy of Music for the Promotion of Young German Talents, the Kronberg Academy and the Richard Wagner Society. Further musical impulses come through regular masterclasses with, among others, David Geringas, Reinhard Latzko, or Steven Isserlis.

Constantin has been awarded 1st prize in the Violoncello Solo category of the 2016 federal edition of the German Jugend Musiziert Competition. The same year he won the WESPE Special Award of the German Music Council for the best interpretation of Paul Hindemith’s Solo Sonata. He is also a laureate of the Young Talents Competition of the Baltic Music Festival (2016), the Dussmann Competition Berlin (2014 & 2017), and the Napolinova Competition (2020). In February 2022 he won the Grand Prix Gustav Mahler of the International Mahler Cello Competition (Jihlava/Prague).
