Born in 1998 in Japan, Chisato Taniguchi began music at the age of 2 and the piano the following year.

After her bachelor's degree at the Toho-Gakuen School of Music with Yumiko Meguri in Tokyo, the Japanese cultural foundation "Meiji Yasuda" awarded her a scholarship in 2021 to enable her to continue his master's studies in piano at the Paris Conservatory. (CNSMDP) where she was admitted to Florent Boffard's class. She also takes lessons with Sébastien Vichard, Hae-Sun Kang (chamber music).
In 2022, she won the second prize at the 15th Orléans International Piano Competition as well as the "Residence Henri Dutilleux - Geneviève Joy" prize. She also won the First Prize at the 14th "Kyōgaku" Contemporary Music Interpretation Competition at the Japan in 2020.
