Born in Novara, Italy, Simone Pedroni graduated at the Giuseppe Verdi’s Conservatory in Milan, refining his studies at the Accademia Pianistica Incontri col Maestro de Ímola, with Lazar Berman, Franco Scala and Piero Rattalino. He won the second prize at the Arthur Rubenstein Piano Competition in Tel- Aviv and the first prize at the Queen Sonja in Oslo, in 1933 he won the gold medal at the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.
