Ruth Puhr is currently responsible for quality assurance and academic development at Les Roches Private College (hotel business, tourism, event management) in Crans-Montana, where she has worked since 2006. She holds Master's degrees in Musicology and Information Technology from Durham University, and a PhD in Higher Education from University College London. Before settling in Switzerland, she worked for many years at the Royal Theatre in Newcastle, where she acquired solid skills in cultural management.

In Valais, Ruth Puhr has been involved in musical life for many years as a member of the Committee of the Association of Orchestras (ADO) of the Cantonal Conservatory and as Vice-President of the Sion Violon Musique Foundation, for which she is also responsible for coordinating volunteers.
