The Tongyeong international Music Foundation is holding a Young Artist Forum & Showcase in collaboration with the WFIMC
During its upcoming ISANGYUN Competition (discipline: Cello), the Tongyeong International Music Foundation (TIMF) is holding a three-day forum from November 6 to November 8, to support young artists, discuss recent developments in the classical music scene, and give hands- on advice on building your career. The forum is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea; Korea Arts Management Service (KAMS); and the city of Tongyeong, in cooperation with the World Federation of International Music Competitions, the Kumho Cultural Foundation and Korea National Institute for the Gifted in the Arts.
Among the speakers are Daejin Kim, former President of Korea National University of Arts; Päivi Pousar, Secretary General of the International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition; Sisi Ye, CEO of the International Schoenfeld String Competition; David Marecek, CEO of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra; Jinhak Park, CEO of Stage One; Kichul Jang, Executive Director of Kumho Cultural Foundation; Eleonore Büning, Journalist; Kangho Lee, Professor of Korea National University of Arts; Jian Wang, Professor at Shanghai Conservatory of Music; and Florian Riem, Secretary General of the WFIMC.
