The Career Advancement Program 2027–2029 of the Günther Caspar Foundation (Switzerland) offers new opportunities

The Swiss Günther Caspar Foundation has opened the scouting process for the next edition of its Career Advancement Program (2027–2029), seeking outstanding young instrumentalists based in Europe. This selective three‑year initiative is designed to accelerate the careers of internationally promising artists through a combination of practical training, professional networking and targeted financial support.

Program highlights

  • Two annual workshops (held in both 2027 and 2028) led by leading international professionals from the music industry
  • Individual career counselling tailored to each participant
  • Facilitated meetings with conductors, presenters and other industry stakeholders
  • Financial support for individual projects in 2029
  • Full coverage of travel and accommodation related to program activities

How nominations work
Applications are not open to the public. In cooperation with the Career Advancement Program, WFIMC Member institutions are invited to nominate former prize winners and participants for the longlist. Shortlisted candidates will take part in online conversations, leading to the final selection.

  • Nomination deadline: 30 June 2026
  • Final selection: Autumn 2026

Submission instructions
Nominations (name and instrument are sufficient) should be submitted directly by the respective institution to the WFIMC secretariat. (Interested artists who are laureates of WFIMC competitions may apply through their competition; the competition may then propose the candidate’s name to the WFIMC secretariat for consideration).
