Kennett Square - Longwood Gardens International Organ Competition
Every three years, the organ world's brightest young talents are invited to compete in the picturesque setting of our Gardens for the $40,000 Pierre S. du Pont First Prize, the largest cash prize of any organ competition in the world.
Due to extensive construction work in 2022, the next Longwood Gardens International Organ Competition will take place from June 20 to June 24, 2023.
The 2023 Longwood Gardens International Organ Competition is open to organists between the ages of 18 and 30. The competition begins with a qualification round featuring applicants from around the world. An audition jury of six esteemed members of the organ community will anonymously evaluate the competitors’ audition recordings and select 10 of the world’s brightest young talents to compete live before a panel of renowned judges in a quest for the top prize.
