South Korean pianist Seonghyeon Leem began playing the piano at the age of four. She has performed at venues, such as Salzburger Festspiele, Mozarthaus Konzertsaal in Vienna, Salle Cortot in Paris, Arsenal in Metz, Palais de Beaux Arts in Brussels, and MDR television in Leipzig, and has collaborated with conductors, such as Ion Marin, Hankyeol Yoon, Sławomir Chrzanowski, Alexander Drčar, Ja-Kyung Year, and Matthias Foremny.

Seonghyeon Leem won the first Prize at the 2022 International Piano Competition Istanbul Orchestra’ Sion and the 2023 International Pro Musicis Award, is a laureate of the 2024 ZF Music Award, the 2021 International Piano Competition Clamo Music, the 2017 Moscow International Piano Open Competition, the 2015 Gian Battista Viotti International Music Competition, and the 2015 International Rosario Marciano Piano Competition.

She holds an Undergraduate degree with honors from the Seoul National University where she studied with Prof. Aviram Reichert. Studying with Prof. Jacques Rouvier at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, Leem received her Master and Postgraduate degrees. She studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig with Prof. Christian A. Pohl for a Meisterklassenexamen degree. Leem regards herself as a protégé of Paul Gulda and Eunju Heo, and participated in masterclasses by artists, such as Paul Badura-Skoda, Menahem Pressler, Arie Vardi, Elisabeth Leonskaja and Maxim Vengerov.
