Rafael Kyrychenko was born in 1996 in Açores, Portugal. He studied with several recognized professors such as
Cristina Pliousnina, Maria João Pires, Sylvia Thereza i Daniel Blumenthal. He has obtained several awards such as: First prize at the 4rth International Piano Competition Vila de Capdepera (Palma de Mallorca, Spain) 2005. Second prize and "Revelation prize" at the 6th International Piano Competition Cidade do Fundão (Fundão, Portugal) 2005. First Prize at the 8th International Piano Competition Aleksandr Skriabin (Paris, France) 2007. First Prize at the 16th Piano Competition Santa Cecília, 2014. First Prize at the 4th International Piano Competition (Aarhus), 2017. He also played as a soloist at the Tallinn Concert Hous, Estonia, 2010 and played the third concerto by Rachmaninov with the Porto Simfonic Orchestra with the "Casa da Musica" directe by Joseph Swensen.
