Niklas Jahn, born in 1996, was an early student of organ at the Mainz University of Music, then a bachelor's student of church music in the organ classes of Prof. Gerhard Gnann and Prof. Hans-Jürgen Kaiser. He has won prizes in numerous competitions, such as the WESPE in the organ improvisation category, the 5th International Organ Singing Competition of the City of Neuss and the traditional 53rd International Organ Improvisation Competition in Haarlem. Most recently, he won first prize at the 13th International Organ Competition in Korschenbroich, the 3rd International Competition for Organ Improvisation in Cologne and the 4th International Rheinberger Competition for Organ in Liechtenstein.

The scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation was able to complete his Bachelor's degree in Church Music with distinction in summer 2021 and has been studying at the Freiburg University of Music since October 2021 in the Master of Church Music and Master of Organ Improvisation in the organ classes of Prof. Mathias Maierhofer, Prof. Vincent Dubois and Prof. David Franke. Since May 2022, he has also been studying for a Master's degree in Choral Conducting. In addition to his work as an organist, he taught organ literature and improvisation at the Institute for Church Music of the Diocese of Mainz until 2021 and is a passionate choir director.
