The pianist Jiwon Jung is praised for his meticulous interpretation and impressive stage presence, among other things.
He has won 2nd prize and the Young Jury Prize at the Zhuhai International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians and was awarded the Denis Matsuev Prize at the Grand Piano Competition. He won the 3rd prize at the Seoul International Music Competition in 2024. Jiwon Jung has performed with the Salzburg Chamber Soloists, the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia “Evgeny Svetlanov” and the KBS Symphony Orchestra, to name but a few, and has worked with leading conductors such as Antoni Wit, Massimo Zanetti, Alexander Sladkovsky and many others.
Jiwon Jung has performed at the Festival International de Musique de Dinard, the Music in Pyeongchang Festival and many other leading festivals and has played in leading concert halls such as the Gasteig (Munich), the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, L'Auditori (Barcelona), the Seoul Arts Center.
