Jakub Moneta was born on December 31, 2004 in Świdnica. In 2017 he graduated with honors from the Ludomir Różycki State Music School of the First Degree, in the piano class of Mieczysława Jaroslawska. He developed his organ skills in 2015-2020 under the direction of Maciej Bator. He is currently a student at the Karol Szymanowski High School of Music of the First and Second Degree in Wroclaw, where he studied in the organ class of Tomasz Głuchowski, and currently in the class of Piotr Rojek.
He has performed as part of the Świdnica International Bach Festival, the Silesia Sonans Festival in Jelenia Góra, the Schlag Organ Festival, the Summer Organ Concerts in Gryfów Śląski, and the 2nd Organs of Greater Poland Music Festival. He has performed more than 70 recitals and chamber concerts (including in Bard Śląski, Kłodzko, Ząbkowice Śląskie, Świebodzice, Wrocław, Świdnica, Miejska Górka, Poznań). He is also an active liturgical organist and accompanist.
He is a multiple winner of national and international organ competitions. Among his greatest successes are victories at: 9th National Organ Competition in Olsztyn (2019), 1st National Competition of Young Organists in Sanok (2021) and 5th Cross-Border Organ Competition in Raciborz (2021). At the All-Polish Music Competition organized by the Center for Artistic Education in April 2022, at the Karol Szymanowski Primary and Secondary Music School in Wroclaw, he won first place in the organ category. At the XII Krakow Competition of Young Organists (2021), he took second place. He won third place three times at the XXXII and XXXIII editions of the Fr. Stanislaw Orminski International Festival of Religious Music in Rumia (2018, 2020, 2021). He also took third place at the 16th Bialystok Festival of Young Organists (2021), where he additionally received a special prize for his performance of the chorale prelude Allein Gott in der Höh sei Ehr BWV 662 by J. S. Bach, and at the 5th International Competition of “Young Organists” in Moscow (2022). In addition, he participated in organ improvisation courses taught by Philipp Lefebvre, organist of Paris' Notre-Dame Cathedral.
