The Leipzig-born baritone Anton Haupt completed his master's degree in opera singing with Prof. Berthold Schmid at the HMT Leipzig and is now studying there in the master class with KS Prof. Roland Schubert. Since 2022, his vocal training has been complemented by Michael Volle.

Anton Haupt has already made his debut in numerous opera roles. These include Figaro in G. Paisiello's Il barbiere di Siviglia with the Junge Mitteldeutsche Kammeroper, Father in E. Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel , Belcore in G. Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore, and King in Carl Orff's Die Kluge at Theater Rudolstadt. In the summer of 2023, he sang Jupiter in J. P. Rameau's Platée at Waldegg Castle in Switzerland under the direction of the current Thomaskantor Andreas Reize.

Anton Haupt won the Albert Lortzing Competition 2019 and the International Bach Competition Greifswald 2022. He is a scholarship holder of the International Singing Academy Torgau 2018/2022 and the Wagner Association Leipzig.
